Meet Chloe!

Just had to share these awesome pictures of Chloe, aka Silver Girl...the only silver female from Bella's last litter. She is such a gorgerous dog and incredibly smart too! According to her owners,

"Chloe just returned home after 2 months of training, 2 months home, then 2 more months of training. She is obedience trained, field trained, water trained, force-fetch trained and casting trained now, and is ready for Duck season in a few weeks."
WOW! We can't wait to hear how she does on her first hunt! In other news, we are STILL waiting on Bella to begin having these new puppies...she is really dragging it on, I think she enjoys all of the attention that she's getting! :)

The Puppies are Coming!!!

A year ago we opened our hearts to a litter of adorable rolly polly lab puppies, 8 in all!  Bella and her boyfriend Baxter were the proud parents of 6 chocolate and 2 silver pups!  Fast forward to now and after realizing the amazing quality of lab puppies that they produced we have been approached by a few people that asked if we would breed them again..so here we are, 1 week left before once again our home will be filled with the sound of yipping and yapping as well as the laughs of the kids as these adorable babies grow with lots of love and socializing inside our house!  Here is a little recap of our last pregnancy and the puppies that were born.
Bella gave birth on July 22nd 2011.

Bella and Baxter!

Proud mommy of the first litter!

In all she had 5 chocolate boys, 1 chocolate girl, 1 silver boy and 1 silver girl.  All of the puppies went to great homes.  One was even auctioned off at the Lone Survivor Foundation Gala last year and went to the Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell.  Several of the others have become awesome hunting dogs.  And all of them have been the perfect example of a well bred labrador retriever.  All of the puppies are registered AKC with excellent health, eyes and hips.  Bella is out of Ducks in a Row Kennels and the sire Baxter is out of Silver Star Kennels.  Pedigrees are available on both.
Here are a few more recent pictures of last year's litter....
Baby Silver girl at 4 weeks

and at 6 months!  What a gorgeous girl!

Our baby Moose!

And now at a year old!

Remi at 8 weeks old

Shiner at around 6 months!

THE BIG BOY TANK...his name stuck...at 6 months old!!!

Ted E. at a year!  What a handsome guy!

So that is the original crew...some of them anyway!  This new litter is due sometime next week, deposits are $200 and will be first pick according to pay. The full cost of the puppy will depend on color.  Chocolates will be $800 and silvers are $1000.  Bella and Baxters' puppies are sold with a Limited Registration. Full Registration is available and limited to approved breeders.
Prices include a happy healthy 8-week-old AKC registered puppy, with initial 6-week vaccinations and required deworming, and our health guarantee. With each puppy you receive a collar, a blanket with the mother’s scent and a bag with starter food, treats, and a toy. In addition you receive a Puppy Kit from Purina.

We are a hands on family; each puppy is hand-raised until eight weeks of age. During that time they are introduced to a variety of situations, other dogs, traveling and moving from place to place, clapping, noises and swimming as well as being socialized by our children and friends. When our puppies go to their new home they are well on their way to a happy, socialized start to the next key stage of their long-term socialization skills formed between the ages of 8-weeks and 18-weeks.

Because of our deep love for each of our puppies that we sell, we are extremely careful to make certain that our puppies are placed in good homes. Potential buyers must posses the knowledge, ability and resources to provide a clean, safe, happy, healthy home for their new family addition.
We also want to insure that our dogs will be given plenty of training, playtime, love and attention.

We do reserve the right to deny any potential buyer for any reason.

After the puppy leaves our home and goes to its new home, we are available for the life of the puppy for any advice or questions that may arise. As well as in the event the buyer can no longer keep the puppy due to a change of living situation, a move or financial reasons, even after growing into adulthood, we will take the dog and place it in a good and loving home, for the life of the dog.

It's Summertime

I find it amazing and also a little scary how fast time goes by. I swear I was just here, preparing for summer and wrapping up the last few swim meets. And I was, only it was a year ago!

Emma graduated from Kindergarten this morning, I can't believe that my two kiddos will be be in 1st and 2nd grade next year...

Here are a couple of pics of my little octopus (who happened to win the "most likely to be a supermodel" award, not sure whether to be happy or scared about that!)

Riley also had his end of year ceremony yesterday, him and his friend Kira have grown so much since they started out together in Kindergarten last year...

In other news, swimteam is going AWESOME! My little otters are proving to be quite the swimmers and I am so proud of their improvements in the last meet!

And finally last but not least...in the latest edition of the Bella Chronicles, or should I say the "Bad Bella" chronicles. She is growing quite comfortable with herself and loves to get in to all kinds of mischief. From playing attack the cat to finding out what is in the BOTTOM of the trash can to chasing the kids while they run screaming for dear life, she is a constant source of energy and flying fur. However, it's hard to get too angry with her, after all....she is such an angel!

Marley moments...

Ok, since there is always so much to talk about, I have decided it is best that my person just does all the writing....!

Let's see, where do I start...seeing that I let too much time get by since my last post I guess I will start with Saturday morning. We were up early, the kids had their first swim meet which I naturally forgot to bring my camera so I don't have any pictures! As we were running around the house trying desperately to get out the door and to the pool by 7am, Bella in her "curiosity is going to kill the cat" mode was tormenting George, chasing him all over the house. I was in the middle of trying to catch her to put her in her "house" when I heard a yowl from the cat and then a yipe from Bella...I looked under my bed and discovered a tear in the bottom of the boxspring....I am sure you can figure out the rest. Yep, both cat AND dog were now trying to kill each other INSIDE my mattress.....if this didn't qualify as a Marley Moment, I'm not sure what does. After much coaxing, by myself, Tyler and the kids we were finally able to get her down. Needless to say I got the kids to the meet 15 minutes late! UGH! I can say that Riley did amazing and I am so proud of Emma, she is such a little noodle but she managed to boogie her little booty down the pool!

Sunday was Mother's Day. The highlight of my entire day has to be when my sweet, precious, awesome little boy decided to make me breakfast. It went something like this....
Around 7am Riley came in asking where the butter was, I figured he was making toast or something so I just said somewhere in the fridge and closed my eyes to sleep some more....15 minutes go by and he comes back in, still looking for butter, I told him we must be out and he said he HAD to have it because the recipe needed it. This definitely got my attention. I asked him what he was doing and he informed me he had googled scrambled eggs and was making me eggies for Mothers Day....be still my heart, it is really impossible to get even slightly upset even after finding out he had used 6 eggs, ALL of the milk (because he didn't know how much a tablespoon was) and then had put it all in a metal BOWL on top of the burner....we did have to talk to him about using the stove without an adult though! I had to get a picture of this....

Ok, back to Bella. She is 9 weeks now! Her blue eyes are almost completely green now and she is definitely giving me a challenge! I forgot how much work puppies really are! She is right around 16 pounds...pretty soon there will be no more carrying her around. Baxter came by to visit Sunday afternoon. He is getting so big and is SO cute...

For some reason, Bella has decided that Baxter is the enemy...here are some hilarious pictures of my vicious puppy standing her ground when she is confronted by the "BIG BAD BAXTER"...

Oh well, I guess we are going to have to work on that relationship....

Bella is still trying to snag whatever food she can, she eats and eats and eats....then still wants to eat more. Yesterday she actually took Riley's Oreo Cookie shake and managed to finish at least half of it. Not sure she learned her lesson though, even after her little tummy was making the loudest noises all night! This morning she tried to get to the table to steal my toast......time for some manner lessons!

The antler training is going great, Bella loves her toy and has started retrieving! Hopefully will be able to get the Texas chapter of Antler Dogs started soon....

My photo shoot with Seth

Today I went and had my pictures taken, my next door neighbor Seth came along to jump in with me on some of them. It was alot of hard work, we had to walk around and find all the right spots. I got really tired and my people had to carry me....it's really tough to be such a cute, good looking puppy!

Just to show everyone how big I am getting...here is a picture of my Aunt Kelsey, she's trying to hold me like she did the first day I came home....if you can't remember, check out the picture below in the first post!!!

Oh and by the way, everyone kept talking about some graduation thing and said that was why Seth was in the pictures....Happy Graduation Seth!!!

MMMMM....People food!!!!

Dog food is for the dogs! I have discovered that if I sit close enough to Emma and Riley and wait till just...the....right....moment.....!!!! Scraps!!!! MMMMM! So far I have managed to snag pizza and french fries! And today I knocked Emma's milkshake out of her hand and that was so much better than plain ole' water! I can't wait to find out what they are eating tonight!!!

Whew, it's been a busy week!

Wow, my first week has been so much fun here! I've got a lot to share with everyone! I got to meet a new friend last Friday, his name is Baxter, he's a little older than me AND a little bit bigger but I wasn't scared...he might have been though! :)

I was taking Baxter for a walk!

Meeting my big brother, Remi, was a whole different story! WOW! He is really big!!! I really enjoy playing with him, but getting swiped across the room with one paw isn't so much fun! I also learned not to try and sneak any crumbs from him either! I think he tried to eat me!!!!! I ran and hid under my mommy's bed until I thought it was safe to come back out!

On Monday I got to go to the doctors for a puppy check up! I weighed a whole 9 LBS!!!! I got a clean bill of health, however I didn't really like what the doctor was doing and I kinda nipped her nose when she tried to kiss me...guess I showed her who was boss!

There is a cat in the house where I live, my people call him George...I call him FUN! I love to sneak up and pounce on him or chase him through the house. He thinks he's being tough when he hisses and meows at me, but I think he knows that he is in a losing situation! I will soon be MUCH bigger than him!

I'm growing more and more everyday. I am also pretty smart, I've already got that whole sit thing down! Playing with Riley and Emma is also alot of fun...I'm going to figure out how to get on the couch and bed pretty soon and then they will never be able to escape!

That's about it for now, tomorrow I get to go to a triathalon, whatever that is...it should be a fun day...look for pictures!
